Meet Our Team

Christina Rivera

Owner/CEO

Hello, I’m Christina Rivera, Founder and Owner of Aspire Behavioral Care. I’ve always had a strong desire to help children with developmental disabilities and began working with them in 2002. Because of the immense sense of satisfaction and accomplishment this provided me, I decided to pursue an education in that field and subsequently graduated from Western State College in Gunnison, CO. in 2009 with Honors in Psychology and Sociology. I than began working in the Respite and ABA field in 2010 and the following year I received my Registered Psychotherapy license from the state of Colorado. In 2016 I also received my Masters in Education with Curriculum and Instruction in ABA.

Being a Navy dependent, I have lived in California, Maryland and Colorado. As a result, I have a strong connection to the military and Colorado Springs community. I established the company in 2013 and opened a center in 2018 and can now provide a wide range of high quality ABA services either in-home, community,  or in-center. If you would like to explore having your family join ours, please feel free to reach out to us at your convenience.

Executive Team

Nancy Ruminski

Executive Director

Nancy has been working at Aspire Behavioral Care for over 4 years.  Her experience working with children with developmental disabilities started twenty years ago when her children had extensive medical complexities and her son was diagnosed on the Autism Spectrum.   This hands-on experience gave Nancy the passion to see every child beyond their frailties and behaviors to the beauty of their hearts.   Nancy has additional experience from working for several years in a local school district.  Her knowledge of IEP's, and parental advocacy allows her to guide Aspire parents who are balancing ABA therapy with the educational goals of their children.   In 2017, Nancy moved into the role of Executive Director where she helps spearhead the mission, vision, and values of ABC .  Every day she enjoys loving each child that walks through Aspire's doors.    Recently, Nancy returned to school to earn a degrees in Educational Studies and Organizational Leadership.  "I look forward to applying the new knowledge I gain in all that I do at Aspire Behavioral Care!".

Danielle has worked in the field of ABA since 1997.  She attended California State University, Sacramento and has a BA in Psychology where she began to work as a behavior technician  After she graduated she continued her career and worked her way into a supervisor role as a "Behavior Consultant" within 2 years.

As insurance rules changed and requirements were modified, Danielle attended Capella University and earned her Masters degree in Psychology with an Emphasis in Child and Adolescent Psychology.  She enjoys using her education to ensure that developmental steps are taught and gives a perspective to develop programming for each of her clients.

Being able to watch a child go from non existent communication with high rates of behavior to speaking/communicating with family members is something that continues to make her heart full of joy.   Breaking skills into smaller steps, teaching replacement skills, and changing the lives of her clients motivates Danielle to give her clients 100% and to continue to create creative programming and ways to learn new skills.
